A witness reported that the driver went off the roadway in the 2200 block of Geneva Avenue, drove through a mailbox, got stuck in the ditch and then fled on foot, the report says.

Police impounded the vehicle, and an impound notice and an insurance request form was mailed to the car’s registered owner.
