Oakdale Police Blotter: Police Chase Ends in Crash

In other reports, a woman was reportedly assaulted by her sister-in-law's boyfriend and someone hit a car in a restaurant's parking lot and drove off.

A police chase ended with a vehicle crashing into a truck in the 4700 block of Geneva Avenue Friday, Dec. 30, according to an Oakdale Police Department report.

The vehicle was found to be stolen out of New Richmond, WI, the report says. The female suspect had leg injuries, and was transported to Regions Hospital, the report says.

Maplewood police had been pursuing the vehicle, as it traveled north on Geneva Avenue, the report says.

Dec. 29:

  • Police responded to the 4000 block of Geneva Avenue on a report of an assault. The complainant said that his wife and sister had been assaulted by his sister’s boyfriend. His wife said the man punched her mouth and injured her arm by pulling on it. She had no visible injuries. The complainant’s sister said no assault took place. The boyfriend didn’t cooperate with officers. He refused to sit down and took a fighting stance. Police handcuffed him. He later told police that he had been punched three times by the complainant’s wife.
  • A witness left a note on a vehicle parked at reporting that someone hit the vehicle and then drove off and parked in another spot without checking the car for damage or leaving a note. Police called the driver of the other car, who said he wasn’t sure that a collision had occurred, however, a passenger in the car said he told the driver that he had hit another car. Police took photos of the damage and cited the driver.
  • Police responded to on a report of a fight involving 10 people. On arrival, an employee said that 10 to 15 people were fighting in the restaurant’s entryway. Officers talked with several people said to be involved in the fight, but no one provided an accurate account of the incident or reported being a victim of a crime.

Dec. 30:

  • A resident in the 4000 block of Geneva Avenue reported that six prescription oxycodone pills were stolen from her purse sometime between midnight and 8 a.m.
