Oakdale Police Blotter: Woman Reports Being Bitten, Punched

In other reports, a woman said someone placed an adult Craigslist ad on her behalf and a cab driver said two passengers got out and ran after racking up a $70 bill.

A woman reported being pushed, bitten and punched in the face eight times by her boyfriend in the 4600 block of Hayward Road just after midnight on Feb. 10, according to an Oakdale Police Department report. Police observed that she had bruising on her face and left ear and a bite mark on her chest, the report says.

The man was arrested, and during an interview he said he only defended himself, according to the report.

The following incidents were also reported to Oakdale police Feb. 10-11:

Feb. 10:

  • A resident in the 7400 block of Stillwater Boulevard reported that the front license plate of his vehicle was missing. He didn’t know when the plate was lost or stolen.
  • Someone at Oakdale Precision reported that between 4:15 p.m. Feb. 9 and 7 a.m. Feb. 10 someone stole both license plates off of a vehicle parked there.
  • On Feb. 9 around 11:30 a.m. someone struck a vehicle while parked at Rainbow Foods causing front bumper, hood and headlight damage. The estimated repair cost was $800.
  • A man took his 11-month-old son to Regions Hospital after picking him up for a weekend visit in Oakdale and observing that he had a cut or burn on his upper lip and bruising on his back. Washington County Social Services was notified.
  • Someone keyed a vehicle parked in an underground garage in the 5600 block of Hadley Avenue, causing $200 damage, between 11 p.m. Feb. 9 and 3:30 p.m. the next day. The car’s owner had a suspect
  • An Oakdale woman reported that at about 5:15 p.m. she started receiving calls from unknown men in response to a Craigslist ad. She found an ad in the "Casual Encounters" section that she did not place with the title “Buy one, get one free,” that gave a height and bra size and asked those interested to call her directly. She told police she suspected a man she dated two months ago might have placed the ad.

  • A taxi driver reported that two men got out of his cab and ran into the 29 Pines mobile home community, failing to pay a $70 fare. Police did not locate the men.
  • Police responded to the 3800 block of Granada Way on a report of a 27-year-old woman with chest pains. She told police she was eating really spicy food and all of a sudden her chest started to burn. She thought she was having a heart attack, and so she took an aspirin, even though she is allergic to the drug. The Oakdale Fire Department transported her to St. John’s Hospital.

The above items are taken from the Oakdale Police Department. In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Incidents are listed in the order in which they were reported, not necessarily the order in which they occurred.
