An Oakdale priest charged with molesting two boys and possessing child pornography pleaded guilty in Ramsey County District Court Thursday afternoon, according to the Pioneer Press.
Curtis Carl Wehmeyer, 48, was arrested in Oakdale on suspicion of child molestation on June 22. In September he was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct for allegedly sexually assaulting two brothers — one who was 12 years old at the time — in his private camper trailer on the church parking lot. The older brother was 15 years old at the time.
Last month he was also charged with 17 counts of child pornography possession.
Wehmeyer was a former priest at the Parish of the Blessed Sacrament in St. Paul.
Wehmeyer admitted in court that he touched the younger boy's penis on more than one occassion. He also told the judge that he showed the boys child pornography and "masturbated in front of them," according to the Pioneer Press.
Wehmeyer's sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 1.
