On March 9, the grandmother discovered three of her rings were missing from her jewelry collection. The woman contacted Twin Cities Pawn and the Woodbury Police Department. Twin Cities Pawn confirmed that Heroff had pawned the three rings at the establishment.

The first ring was pawned on Feb. 26, the second ring was pawned on March 2 and the third ring was pawned on March 7. The value of the three rings was more than $1,000.

In an interview with police, Heroff admitted to taking the three rings and pawning them at the pawn shop. Heroff told police that she was having "financial problems" and took the rings and pawned them for the money.

If found guilty, Heroff could spend up to five years in prison and pay up to $10,000 in fines for the felony theft charge.
