Police Respond to a 'Shots Fired' Report, Man Allegedly Pointed Handgun at Family

The Oakdale Police Department responded to the call on Oct. 28.

Police arrested a 31-year-old North St. Paul man for allegedly shooting a handgun in public.

The Oakdale Police Department were dispatched to the 5000 block of Grafton Avenue on a report of gunshots fired in the area.

When police arrived the complainant said that his brother-in-law pointed a handgun at him and his brothers while standing across the street. The complainant said he retreated inside and then heard a gunshot from the street.

The man then left the area in a black Nissan Maxima driven by his sister. The complainant said that their children were also passengers in the vehicle.

No one was injured and there was no visible property damage.

The North St. Paul man was booked in Washington County Jail pending formal complaint charges for second degree assault, terroristic threats and unlawful discharge of a gun.
