Police Respond to 'Home Invasion' Report, Find No Criminal Activity

Police investigated a report of a home invasion, but found no criminal activity.

Officers from the Oakdale Police Department were dispatched to investigate a potential home invasion Wednesday evening.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office received a call about five males entering a townhouse facility on the on 3700 block of Gershwin Avenue. The men were reportedly wearing ski masks and armed with firearms. The caller told the Sheriff's Office that he was hiding in his closet. 

When Oakdale police arrived there was no criminal activity in the area. Police spoke with other residents of the facility who said there were no problems at the complex. 

Police could not trace who had made the call.
