Brian James Mehlhorn, already serving time for area burglaries, was sentenced to nearly three more years of prison time stemming on a charge of false imprisonment in Shoreview, according to the Pioneer Press.
Mehlhorn, 30, of Oakdale, was serving time for car theft and burglary at the time of his latest conviction.
In the Shorview incident, Mehlhorn and another man approached a woman at an apartment building and he forced her into a car at knifepoint, the Pioneer Press story says. He later told authorities he was upset with her because the woman gave police her name in connection with a fraud investigation, according to the story.
Mehlhorn this spring was sentenced for other crimes.
