Bayport Squad Struck by Suspected Drunk Driver

“I ran out of the way to avoid being struck by the motor vehicle that crashed into the rear of my squad," the Bayport officer wrote in his report, "and ended up in the west side of Highway 95.” 

Police: Drunk Man Found Lying in Street, Wearing Only Boxers and Jacket

When police arrived downtown just after 7 a.m. Sunday, officers found the 22-year-old Hudson man lying in the street “curled up, trying to use his boxers as a blanket." The man was taken into custody by his parents. 

Stillwater Police Crack Down on Motorcycle Noise

The main issue is motorcyclists who rev the throttle while sitting at intersections and as they leave the north end of downtown, Chief John Gannaway said. A lot of the idling noise is fine, but it becomes an issue when people gun the throttle.

Selected calls to the Public Safety Department from July 16-22.

A woman was spotted in a stolen car and an officer used the “pit maneuver” to terminate the chase at Interlachen and Brentwood Trail.

Public Safety Chief Lee Vague said the officer has had a spotless record during her 17 years with the department.

Jose Manuel Mejia, of St. Paul Park, faces burglary and assault charges stemming from the July 25 incident.

Woodbury Apartment Building on Guider Drive Evacuated Following Fire

The grease fire set off sprinklers Friday night at the building at the 7200 block of Guider Drive.

The St. Paul man told police he got into an argument with another man over a racial slur but did not brandish the weapon during the July 20 incident.

The 9-year-old was accidentally shot by her 5-year-old sibling Friday, July 26. The reports have been forwarded to the city and county attorneys for possible charges against adults who were present at the home.

3rd District Court of Appeals in WI denied Jeffrey Burr's appeal in the killing of Oakdale teenager Ronald Ross in 2001, the AP reported.

The 21-year-old was sentenced for beating the mother of his child and whipping the boy on his legs and genitals with an AV cord.

River Falls Man Dies in Erin Prairie Township Crash

William Eubank, 66, of River Falls, was pronounced dead on the scene of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in St. Croix County.

North Hudson Police are reminding everyone to lock their homes and vehicles.
