State Patrol: Man Busted for DWI in Oakdale After 911 Call

The man allegedly nearly hit several cars, signs and a pedestrian before a state trooper pulled him over.

A driver nearly struck several cars and signs and a pedestrian before a 911 call tipped off the State Patrol and he was arrested in Oakdale earlier this month on suspicion of DWI.

The man had a 0.37 blood alcohol content, the Minnesota State Patrol reported on its Facebook page on Tuursday, Aug. 29.

The 38-year-old had been driving along Interstate 94 before being pulled over, and nearly stumbled out of his car into traffic. He admitted to drinking vodka but wouldn’t say how much, according to the post.

A motorist called 911 after spotting the erratic driving and almost being hit.

The alleged drunken driver was booked at the Washington County Jail. His dog was also in the car at the time, according to the post.

The Minnesota State Patrol urges anyone who suspects a motorist of driving while intoxicated to call 911.
