Oakdale police in late January were contacted about a road rage incident at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue.

An officer met with a man who said he was being tailgated along 10th Street. He admitted that he tapped his brakes, and when he approached Hadley Avenue the other motorist pulled up along side him and pointed a gun at his vehicle.

The man told police the other driver either shot at his vehicle or threw something at it, causing the front driver-side window to shatter. He gave police a description of the other car and its license plate number.

Oakdale police made contact with the suspect vehicle’s owner, who said his son, identified as Selbitschka, was driving at the time.

The teenager said the other driver was slamming on his breaks and giving him the finger. Selbitschka admitted to pointing the air soft gun out the window in an attempt to intimidate the other driver.

He also admitted to throwing a CO2 cartridge out of the window.

If convicted, Selbitschka faces up to one year and one day in prison and a $3,000 fine.
