Trial Date Set for Oakdale Man Accused of Sexual Assault of a Teenager

Anthony Lee Larson, 35, faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and $35,000 in fines if convicted of the charges against him.

Washington County District Court Judge Ellen Maas set a trial date for the 35-year-old on multiple occasions. 

Anthony Lee Larson pleaded not guilty to the charges against him on Wednesday afternoon and waived his right to an omnibus hearing before Judge Maas scheduled his jury trial for Feb. 13.  

Larson was charged on Nov. 28 with second-degree criminal sexual conduct after allegedly writing a letter in which he admitted to assaulting the boy while camping in Park Rapids, MN.

According to a Washington County criminal complaint, the boy told Oakdale police Larson also molested him in his home on two or three occasions as far back as 2009. 

Larson was released on $200,000 bail on Dec. 21 under the condition that he not contact the alleged victim in the case or have any contact with persons less than 18 years old.

If convicted Larson faces a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $35,000 fine.
