2012 Oakdale Street Reconstruction Project Initiated—Is Your Street on the List?

Another batch of Oakdale streets will be reconstructed or overlaid in the 2012 construction season.

The Oakdale City Council initiated the project at its meeting Tuesday, Oct. 11.

The projects are grouped into three areas, which are spread around the city, with one in the north, one in the south and one in central Oakdale, said Public Works Director Brian Bachmeier.

“We are spreading the investment around,” he said.

Financing for the project comes from a combination of city capital improvement dollars, state aid and special assessments to adjacent property owners, according to a staff report to the city council.
