A new face will be representing District 2 of Washington County, according to unofficial results from the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Ted Bearth unseated incumbent Bill Pulkrabek for the District 2 seat with 11,123 votes (52 percent). Pulkrabek received 10,054 votes (47 percent).
All 17 precincts reported their numbers just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Pulkrabek has served as a Washington County commissioner since 1999. Before that he was the mayor of Oakdale from 1995 to 1999.
Pulkrabek underwent heavy scrutiny when he was involved in a domestic incident stemming from last year.
Bearth has also served as mayor of Oakdale and city council member for a combined total of 26 years. He is an active member of the Oakdale Veterans Memorial Committee and an Oakdale Park Board Commissioner.
All results are unofficial until verified by a canvassing board.
