Thursday promises everything from frost and futbol to France and crooked fur traders.

1. The weather forecast from the National Weather Service is calling for widespread frost before 8 a.m. Temps are predicted to rise to 54 degrees by the afternoon. Bundle up for 35 degrees this evening though!

2. Tartan boys and girls varsity soccer teams have made a last-minute schedule switch. Both teams play AT tonight. The ladies will now play at 5 p.m. with the gents following at 7 p.m.

3. students interested in going on the England/France trip in March 2012 are encouraged to attend an informational meeting in Mr. Norlander’s room (208) at 3 p.m. Sign up for the trip before September 30th and get a discount.

5. On this date in 1834, Native American agent Lawrence Taliaferro suspends the license of fur trader Alexis Bailly. An employee of the American Fur Company, Bailly had broken trade rules, including those forbidding the sale of liquor. Bailly's replacement was Henry H. Sibley.
