1. The forecast from the National Weather Service is predicting 59 degrees and partly sunny today. Tonight, the temperatures should drop to around 44 degrees.

2. In a heated football rivalry, the Tartan Titans take on the Polars from North St. Paul at tonight at 7 p.m.

3. If you find yourself craving a panini sandwich today, you're in luck. Bruegger's is offering free sandwiches on its new ciabatta panini. Guests wishing to claim a free Chicken Aioli Melt Panini or Turkey Artichoke and Mozz Panini need only to sign up through Bruegger’s reservation program via its Facebook page.

5. On this day in 1885, Macalester College opened its St. Paul campus. Originally known as Baldwin School, it was renamed for Charles Macalester, owner of the Winslow House, a hotel in Minneapolis where classes were first held. Macalester agreed to donate the hotel to the college in 1874.
