Hadley Avenue Paving Set to Begin Wednesday, Farmers Market Cancelled

The roadwork, near Oakdale City Hall, will be done under traffic, according to City Engineer Brian Bachmeier.

Paving of Hadley Avenue near Oakdale City Hall is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Due to the construction, the Oakdale Farmers Market will be cancelled, but it is set to resume the following Wednesday, Sept. 11.

Crews will not close down the street to traffic during the work, which will run from 11th Street north to Hallmark Avenue, City Engineer Brian Bachmeier said.

The roadwork could take one or two days to complete, and the contractor was planning to schedule lane striping as soon as possible, he said.

Meanwhile, the city is wrapping up its 2013 road construction, Bachmeier said.
