Klobuchar Features Oakdale Coffee Shop in Washington D.C.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar recently featured food from an Oakdale coffee shop in her Washington, D.C. office.

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar featured breakfast pastries from Dreamcoat Coffee in Oakdale at her weekly “Minnesota Morning” gathering.

Klobuchar has visited Minnesota communities across the state and after tasting favorite local foods, she decided to showcase these Minnesota specialties at her weekly Thursday-morning coffee gatherings in her Washington, D.C. office.

“Dreamcoat Coffee is one of the many locally owned businesses we have across our state that aren’t just supporting their local economies — they’re helping serve our communities,” Klobuchar said. “I was happy to bring their unique treats from Oakdale for our guests to enjoy at Minnesota Morning.”

Dreamcoat Coffee is owned by the Twin Cities Salvation Army. They feature an assortment of freshly-made pastries, sandwiches and other treats, as well as coffee and espresso. All of Dreamcoat Coffee’s sales are used to support the work of the Twin Cities Salvation Army. 

Klobuchar hosts “Minnesota Morning” every Thursday when the Senate is in session and invites all Minnesotans who are visiting the capital. Visitors can hear first-hand accounts of Klobuchar’s work in the Senate, mingle with fellow Minnesotans visiting Washington, meet the senator’s staff and take photographs with the senator.
