League of Women Voters Announces Candidate Forum for County Races

Learn more about those seeking to represent you at an upcoming event.

The League of Women Voters of Woodbury/Cottage Grove recently announced that it will sponsor a Washington County candidate forum, which are open to the public.

The forum first is set for Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the council chambers at Woodbury City Hall.

Candidates for Washington County commissioner in Districts 2 and 5 will discuss their respective platforms and answer questions at 7 p.m.

Incumbent Bill Pulkrabek is taking on Ted Bearth for District 2. 

In District 5, incumbent Lisa Weik is facing off against challenger Nancy Remakel in District 5.

The public is encouraged to attend and to submit written questions for the candidates. The forums will be aired live on the local government access channel and will be rebroadcast before the elections are held.
