The county accepted on Aug. 6 a $247,983.70 bid from T.A. Schifsky & Sons to reconstruct the lot.
Part of the county’s 2013 capital-improvement efforts, the work also includes site improvements at the Oakdale Library, according to a release from Washington County.
The project is set to begin this month and be completed sometime in September.
The work includes:
- replacing deteriorated pavement and sidewalks;
- addressing stormwater drainage issues on the site; and
- bringing the site in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
In addition to the funds from the county’s capital repair fund, a $42,000 grant from the Board of Water and Soil Resources will be used for water quality improvements, along with an $18,655 grant from the South Washington Watershed District grant program.
