Oakdale Planning for New Signs on Hadley

Electronic signs would be located at Oakdale City Hall, the Discovery Center and, depending on funding, the Oakdale Public Works Building.

Oakdale’s Parks and Recreation Commission is scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 16, to hear about a plan to install two to four new signs at various points along Hadley Avenue that would share announcements about upcoming events and emergency notifications.

The City of Oakdale is putting out a request for proposals to install electronic signs at , the and the facility as well as a non-electronic sign to replace the one at Highway 36 and Hadley Avenue, according to a staff report.

A draft of the request for proposals requires that all signs list the city’s web address, and that the electronic signs be readable to vehicles traveling 35 mph.
