Oakdale Receives GreenStep Award
The city's environmental efforts earned it a "Step 2" designation under the three-tier program.
The city of Oakdale was recognized with an award as a Minnesota GreenStep City at the June 20 League of Minnesota Cities conference.
For its efforts in the areas of “energy and resource conservation and innovation,” Oakdale was given the “Step 2” designation under the three-tier program.
The free Minnesota Pollution Control program, managed through a public‐private partnership, is based upon 28 best practices. According to the group’s website, Oakdale’s achievements within the program included:
