Short-Term Closure for Highway 36

Both directions of Highway 36 will be closed as crews work to lower the water level at Keller Lake.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Friday announced a short-term closure of Highway 36 between Highway 61 and Edgerton Street.

Both directions of the roadway will close at 6 a.m. Sunday, July 21, as crews work to lower the water level at Keller Lake.

The section of the highway is expected to reopen by 9 a.m. that same day.

“When the bridge is complete, motorists will experience a smoother, safer ride with updated features and better access for the traveling public,” reads a release from MnDOT.
