Tanner’s Beach, Oakdale Nature Preserve Garage up for Council Discussion

The Oakdale City Council is scheduled to talk about summer operations at Tanner's Lake Beach and award the bid for the new garage at the Oakdale Nature Preserve.

The Oakdale City Council is scheduled to discuss issues at two city parks at its meeting Tuesday, March 27.

Oakdale’s Parks and Recreation Department has been looking for a nonprofit organization to run the concession stand at the beach, said Recreation Superintendent Julie Williams last week. The city at the beach last year, which meant closing down the concessions and bathroom building due to lack of supervision. The city requested bids for both a 45-by-44 foot garage and a 40-by-40 foot garage. The low bids were $87,723 for the bigger garage and $76,823 for the smaller one.
