As a Precaution, Oakdale Schools Lock Doors, Keep Students Inside Following Bank Robbery

Five local schools were affected Monday as Oakdale police searched for the suspect.

Five District 622 schools locked exterior doors and kept students inside Monday as Oakdale police searched for a suspect in a bank robbery.

A lone man entered Western Bank on Monday morning, handed a teller a demand note and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The bank is located at 1155 Hadley Ave. N.

Authorities were still searching for the suspect Monday but had not made any arrests as of 2 p.m.
