Back-to-School Picnic for Oakdale Elementary Tuesday
The Oakdale Village Apartments will be hosting a Back-to-School Picnic for Oakdale Elementary students on Tuesday.
The is hosting a back-to-school picnic for Oakdale Elementary families from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21.
Local churches have collected school supplies and filled 98 backpacks with items required at this year. There will also be boxes full of supplies for older children too, said Sarah Kohler, the community manager of Oakdale Village Apartments and Townhomes.
Oakdale Elementary Principal Peter Mau and teachers will distirbute supplies and meet with students and their families. Teachers will also help children select books to read with their families.

The will also attend to meet with community members and support the children for the upcoming school year.
There will be games, face painting and lunch.
