Brief: Oakdale Student Receives National Merit Scholarship

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced its final 2012 winners of its scholarship program. 

The NMSC announced more than 2,000 additional winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges and universities on Monday. These Merit Scholar designees join more than 2,500 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in late May. 

Jessica M. Johnson, of Oakdale, received the National Merit University of Minnesota Scholarship. She is looking at a possible career in mathematics. Johnson attends North High School in North St. Paul.
