Brief: Oakdale Student Receives Presidential Scholarship

Zachariah Neville received the scholarship from North Dakota State University.

Zachariah Neville, son of Doug and Michelle Neville of Oakdale, received the North Dakota State University Presidential Scholarship, which totals $12,000 over four years and requires the student to score a 32 or higher on the ACT.

The Presidential Scholarship awards are among the most prestigious academic scholarships presented to incoming freshmen. He also received the Textbook Scholarship in which he will receive $1,000 credit for textbooks for his first year at NDSU. The scholarships recognize high academic achievement.

Neville will enter NDSU in the fall and plans to major in chemistry and mathematics and minor in Spanish. In high school, he was active in Link Crew. He also was Math Team captain, knowledge bowl captain, Relay for Life captain and National Honor Society treasurer.
