Football Friday Preview: Tartan vs. North St. Paul

Crosstown rivals Tartan and North St. Paul meet Friday in a key Classic Suburban Conference matchup.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY

Tartan (1-1, 0-1 Classic Suburban Conference) vs. North St. Paul (0-2, 0-2 Classic Suburban Conference)

PLAYMAKERS

  • Halim Bilal (Tartan - Running Back) Rushed 19 times for 165 yards in win over North Branch.
  • Stacy Kalkwarf (Tartan – Wide Receiver) Caught ten passes for 103 yards in first win of the season last week.
  • Aryton Nelson (North St. Paul – Quarterback) Leads the team with 55 rushing yards
  • Donovan Nepple (North St. Paul – Wide Receiver) Paces the team with four receptions for 44 yards


TITANS WIN IF...
They can continue the offensive strides they showed in their 38-point effort against North Branch.  They had a running back and receiver both go over 100 yards in the win.

POLARS WIN IF...
They can move the ball well enough to keep their defense off the field. South St. Paul dominated the line of scrimmage and time of possession in their 51-0 win last week.
