Oakdale Student Makes University of Nebraska Marching Band

Rebecca Horzewski, of Oakdale, plays the trumpet for the University of Nebraska marching band, which will make its 2013 debut Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln with pregame and halftime performances.
Horzewski is a freshman majoring in computer engineering.
Each band member passed two auditions to make the Marching Red, which was founded in 1879 as an ROTC unit; it’s one of the oldest marching bands in the nation.
