Report: Tartan Activities Director’s Contract Renewal in Question, Parents Concerned

Parents of students in Tartan’s Black Student Union are worried about the club’s future with Activities Director Adrian Moore’s contract renewal in question, the Oakdale-Lake Elmo Review reports.

Tartan Principal John Bezek said there are no plans for the club’s programs—which include tutoring services and college preparation—to end, according to the report.

The group did not speak at the July 19 School Board meeting, as the report says was planned.

District 622 Communications Director Jennifer McNeil confirmed that there is an investigation into a complaint against Moore, but said he is still employed by the district, the report says.

Moore would not comment on the situation per his attorney’s advice.
