Tartan's Prom Controversy Airs on The Daily Show

On May 30, The Daily Show aired a segment that included interviews with Tartan High School Senior Mike Stone, the kid who wanted to take an adult film actress to prom.

Tartan High School Senior Mike Stone when he asked adult film actress Megan Piper to prom in March. Now, Stone is gaining attention again for appearing on The Daily Show.

Last night, The Daily Show aired an episode that included a four-minute-long segment about Piper and Stone. “I was going to go there, be his prom date, and do all the normal prom stuff,” Piper told The Daily Show’s Jessica Williams. “I don’t plan on doing anything sexual with Mike or any of his friends.”

Tartan High School officials that said Stone would not be allowed to take Piper to the school’s prom.

Marjorie Holsten, a concerned parent, was also interviewed for the segment.

“I agree with the schools decision to not allow her to prom. Her profession is pornography,” Holsten said to Williams. “It’s the concept that she is a lady who, as a profession, takes off her clothes.”

Next thing you know Government will be telling YOU how much pop you can drink.

Naw they would NEVER do that, would they?

That's her profession, NOT who she is as a person. Tartan was wrong in this decision to not let Piper Go to this prom. Is the school going to look into where every kid and his/her date are employed, to ALLOW them to be able to go to this event?

Thanks Susan for the bit of much needed logic. Who made Tartan God? You need to continue contributing out here.

This decision was unfair to Mike and Megan. Tartan was wrong and Marjorie is an idiot. Watch the Daily Show segment as it shows how ludicrous this argument is.

After watching the video it seems like Marjorie is an actor, she comes across as a total fool. What "profession" do you suppose she works in.

Jim, you can choose to believe me or not, but Marjorie is not an actor. I know her in real life, and she's a very conservative homeschooling mother. She did say that a lot of editing and manipulation was used in order to make her look like an idiot, but yeah, she still needs to be more open-minded about many issues such as this one.
