Game of the Week: North St. Paul vs. St. Paul Central Section 4AA Soccer Title Game

North St. Paul, which won its second straight Classic Suburban Conference title, faces St. Paul Central in the Section 4AA title game.

ON THE LINE
The Polars, ranked No. 2 in Class AA have won 11 straight games after a 1-1 tie at Hill-Murray. North St. Paul has won consecutive Classic Suburban Conference titles after finishing last in the league in 2009. The Polars defeated No. 1 Stillwater 2-1 earlier this season. The Minutemen upset Stillwater 1-0 Saturday to advance to the title game. They had lost to the Ponies 3-0 in the regular season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Eric Manteuffel – North St. Paul goalie
The senior goalkeeper has helped lead a Polar defense that has allowed just 0.67 goals per game and has had nine shutouts.

Jonah Van Why – St. Paul Central midfielder
The senior has made several critical goals for the Minutemen this season.

They can put pressure on the Minutemen defense. They have outscored their opponents 75-12 and are a strong defensive team that already has nine shutouts.

MINUTEMEN WIN IF...
They can continue their strong defensive play. The Minutemen have allowed just 13 goals this season and have 12 shutouts.
