People are going to be bouncing off the walls on Saturday. Literally.
Oakdale's Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park will be hosting the first World 3-D Dodgeball Championship on Saturday. The Sky Zone in Plymouth will also be hosting the event.
3-D dodgeball is just like regular dodgeball — except it's played in trampoline-walled courts.
The event will host about 20 teams of five to eight players who will be competing to be the best dodgeball team in Minnesota.
Over the next two weeks, 20 Sky Zone locations in the U.S. and Canada will be hosting regional events to find the winning teams of each region. The winners from every location are invited to participate in the championship event in Los Angeles on Nov. 9, according to a spokeswoman of the event.
The first-place team will receive $25,000. Plus, the championship weekend in Los Angeles will be broadcast nationally on FOX Sports.
The events will take place at 6 p.m. in Oakdale and at 4 p.m. in Plymouth.
