Oakdale Youth Lacrosse Wins Woodbury Tournament
The Oakdale seventh and eighth grade boys won the Black and Blue tourney over the weekend
The Oakdale seventh and eighth grade boys lacrosse team won the Woodbury Black and Blue tournament over the weekend at the Bielenberg Sports Complex in Woodbury.
Oakdale went unbeaten in its bracket, topping Armstrong Cooper 12-3, Woodbury Black 6-5, Hudson 10-0 and Rosemount 6-3 in the finals to claim the championship.
The Oakdale team consists of players from ISD 622. The squad is 5-3 overall and is playing in the district playoffs this week. On Tuesday, Oakdale will co-host the district tournament with Stillwater. Games will be played at Skyview Middle School and Stillwater Junior High School on Monday through Thursday.

The top four district teams advance to the 7/8B level state tournament, which is run by the Youth Lacrosse of Minnesota. The seventh and eighth grade state tournament will be held at St. Paul's McMurray Fields on Saturday and Sunday.
