The Lake Elmo Jaycees 37th Annual Huff n' Puff Days is back.

This year's annual fundraiser for Community & Youth activities in the St. Croix Valley Area is slotted for Aug. 8-11, 2013.

The St. Croix Valley is the area the Lake Elmo Jaycees serve, but if you look to our name you’ll find what you deserve.

Let’s do this again, year #2…we’re ready to go, how about you?  Search high or search low but be careful where you go, ‘cuz private land is a big no-no!

Medallion Hunt clues will be published on Patch, The Lake Elmo Jaycees' website, the Lake Elmo Jaycees Facebook page and the Oakdale-Lake Elmo Review beginning Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.

A new clue will appear daily through Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, unless the medallion is found prior to that date. Read the daily clues to search for the medallion hidden on public land in Lake Elmo, MN. The medallion will not be hidden on a golf course, under artificial turf or at any construction site.

But Huff n' Puff Days is much more than just a four-day softball tournament and medallion hunt, the Lake Elmo Jaycees make this truly a fun family weekend event for the St. Croix Valley area. In addition to the 96-team softball tournament there will be many other activities to enjoy during your time at Huff n’ Puff.

The main location for this event is Lions Park in Lake Elmo, but several other ball fields are used throughout this 4-day tournament.

Also available during this event, at Lions Park, is: 

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT

  • 96 Teams (64 men’s teams, 32 women’s teams). Thursday & Friday evenings, all day Saturday and Sunday. 

NEW THIS YEAR: City vs. Jaycees Game

  • Saturday at 3:15pm. Lions Park. (Bringing back a tradition from many, many years ago.)

FOOD, BEVERAGES, & MERCHANDISE

  • Thursday 5:30-10:30, Friday 5:30-Midnight, Saturday 8am-Midnight, Sunday 10am-8pm. 

PRIZE DRAWINGS *FREE TO ENTER*

  • Through donations from local businesses, The Jaycees are able to offer prize drawings throughout the event. Visit the ticket booth to get your entry slip.

KIDS GAMES & ACTIVITIES *FREE EVENT*

  • Saturday 1–3 p.m. at the playground area of Lions Park. 

BEAN BAG TOURNAMENTS

  • Saturday: 12pm & 3pm start times. Double Elimination. Team fee: $20. Teams consist of two (2) people. Prizes for top three (3) teams. Register at the Ticket Booth in Lions Park prior to scheduled start times. 

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

  • Saturday & Sunday: 8am - Noon: The pancake Breakfast is a fundraising event ran by & for the Lake Elmo Fire Department at Station #1 across from Lion’s Park.

Medallion Hunt Rules

If you find the Lake Elmo Jaycees’ Huff n’ Puff medallion, contact Heather Noyes at hnoyes@yahoo.com or 612-801-6145. You will be required to pick up the prize of $100 during our 2013 Huff n’ Puff Days which runs from Thursday, Aug. 8 through Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013. Failure to pick up the prize by 6:00 PM on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 will result in forfeiture of the prize.

The Lake Elmo Jaycees reserves the right to discontinue the Hunt at any time if public property is destroyed.

General Conditions:

Individuals under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to participate in the Hunt.

All participants agree that the Lake Elmo Jaycees will have no liability whatsoever, and will be held harmless by participants for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prizes or participation in this contest.

Except where legally prohibited, by accepting prize, winner grants permission for the Lake Elmo Jaycee, to use his or her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness for advertising and/or publicity without compensation.

All contest rules and decisions are final. Members and immediate family members of the Lake Elmo Jaycees are not eligible.
