Accidental Shooting

The 9-year-old girl who was accidentally shot by her 5-year-old sibling has been released from the hospital and Oakdale police have forwarded their findings to the city and county attorney for possible charges.

Washington County Fair

The Washington County Fair kicks off this week in Lake Elmo.

Admission is $7 for people 16 years and older; $4 for kids ages 6-15; and free for kids 5 years old and younger.

There is free, on-site parking, and more than 50 vendors offering up fair foods and other items. Gates open at 7 a.m. daily, with exhibit buildings open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Music Time

The city of Oakdale last week reminded residents that, as part of Oakdale summer concert series, the 10:02 Band will perform at the Walton Park Band Shell from 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.

The park is located at 15th Street and Hadley Avenue. Fun for the whole family. Free admission.

Dino Discovery

Check out the Oakdale Discovery Center's outdoor amphitheater on Tuesday, July 30, for “Dino Dig,” presented by the Children's Museum of Minnesota.

The free event is set for 6-7 p.m. The address of the Discovery Center is 4444 Hadley Ave.

New McDonald’s

If you’re down in Woodbury, a new McDonald’s is set to open soon near the SuperTarget along Woodbury Drive.
