Wind Chill Advisory in Effect Until Tuesday
Wind chills on Monday are predicted near or below -40 °F.
Another "polar vortex" has descended upon parts of the Midwest.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen issued a wind chill warning and a winter weather advisory for Washington County and the Twin Cities metro area. The wind chill warning is in effect until Tuesday afternoon.
Winds clocked at more than 30 mph are expected Monday, with gusts up to 55 mph.
Because of the arctic blast, the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District canceled classes on Monday.
