1. Today will be sunny with a high near 77 degrees and a low near 59 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. 2. The Oakdale Discovery Center will be hosting a teen kayaking camp on the St. Croix River. 3. Ricky Gervais, an English comedian, actor, director and producer, turns 51 today. Gervais has also hosted the Golden Globes three times. 4. On this day in 1876, Native Americans win the Battle of the Little Bighorn. This is regarded as the most decisive Native American victory and worst U.S. Army defeat in the long Plains Indian War. 5. "The Diary of a Young Girl" — also known as "The Diary of Anne Frank" — was first posthumously published on this day in 1947 when her father, Otto Frank, printed 1,500 copies in Dutch.
