Oakdale's Go East Prides Itself on Distinctive Holiday Cards
For the first time this year, Go East's holiday card has an interactive component.
Thanksgiving, the first snowfall or Christmas items on store shelves can serve as reminders that it's time to start thinking about holiday greeting cards. But at Oakdale's Go East, they get started a little earlier. "The trigger is the Fourth of July," said Ric Pace, principal, and one of the company's founders. Since the brand, design and interactive media firm started creating its own distinctive cards in the mid-'90s, staff members have been working to outdo themselves each year. Past years' cards include one in 3-D with glasses included, a card with a little fake snow and a photo of the company's employees inside a snow globe and an advent calendar-style card with windows that pull open, with a childhood picture of each employee on …
