Charges: ‘Daddy Took the Knife from Her’

Oakdale woman charged with felony following incident in which she allegedly brandished a knife while her husband was holding their infant child.

An Oakdale woman faces a felony charge after she allegedly threatened her husband with a knife while he was holding their infant during an incident earlier this month. Mary Ayah Aban, 32, was charged with making terroristic threats and a misdemeanor domestic assault count following the April 19 incident. Just after midnight, Oakdale police were dispatched to an apartment at the 4000 block of Geneva Avenue. Oakdale Man Sits on Alleged Assailant Until Police Arrive, Complaint Says

An Oakdale man called 911, rushed across the street, placed a man in a chokehold and sat on top of him until police arrived during a mid-April domestic incident. That’s according to the criminal complaint against Patrick Selmer Rockney, of North St. Paul, who faces a felony domestic assault by strangulation charge. Oakdale police on April 15 were dispatched to the 6400 block of 55th Street, where they found a witness sitting on top of Rockney, 27. The witness told officers he lives across the street and saw Rockney beating a woman, according to the criminal complaint. Oakdale Woman Allegedly Cuts Husband’s Neck Using Bread Knife

An Oakdale woman has been charged with felony assault following a March 9 incident in which she allegedly cut her husband’s neck with a bread knife. Alexis Lou Johnson, 38, denied that she assaulted her husband during the argument, according to the criminal complaint. She also faces a misdemeanor domestic assault charge. Officers were dispatched to a 12th Street apartment building at about 2:45 a.m. March 9 after the alleged victim called police, the complaint says. Both parties told police they had gotten into an argument after the man returned home from a bar, according to the complaint. President Pimpin Charged with Allegedly Whipping Toddler, Assaulting Mother

President Pimpin Austin, 21, was arrested on domestic assault and malicious punishment of a child charges.

An Oakdale man suspected of whipping his 2-year-old son was booked in Washington County Jail last week for another crime involving the boy's mother. Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Hallmark Circle North on Dec. 7 regarding a domestic assault report and possible child abuse. President Pimpin Austin, 21, of Oakdale, allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old Oakdale woman, who is also the mother of Austin's two children. The woman told police that Austin kicked and punched her in the side and punched her in the head. Police saw visible signs of injury, according to the police report. Austin left the residence on foot and police located him walking at 10th Street and Hadley Avenue.  Austin was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail. …

Assault Charges Come After Witnesses See Oakdale Man Hit Girlfriend with Children in Arms

J'Marlon D'Anthony George, 21, of Oakdale is being charged with domestic assault by strangulation in Washington County District Court.

An Oakdale man was charged with domestic assault by strangulation in Washington County District Court last week. On July 22, the Oakdale Police Department was dispatched to the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue after receiving multiple calls of physical domestic abuse in progress. The incident involved J'Marlon D'Anthony George, 21, of Oakdale and his girlfriend. According to the criminal complaint, George and his girlfriend spent the evening at the neighbor's house. When the two arrived home they proceeded to argue about putting their two children — a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old — to bed.  The argument escalated to the point of George shoving the victim to the ground while she was holding their daughter. Pulkrabek Pleads Not Guilty to Assault Charge

The Washington County commissioner faces a misdemeanor charge stemming from a Memorial Day incident in Woodbury.

Washington County Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek pleaded not guilty to fifth-degree assault this morning before a Chisago County judge. Pulkrabek was charged with domestic assault stemming from a Memorial Day incident involving his girlfriend. The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail. The Ramsey County Attorney’s Office previously reviewed the case and decided not to pursue a felony charge. Pulkrabek declined comment Thursday morning following the brief arraignment hearing. But his attorney, Ryan Kaess, said he believes “very strongly” that Pulkrabek is not guilty and will “aggressively defend” him against the accusations. Pulkrabek Won't Face Felony Charges

Washington County Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek will not face felony charges in connection with a Monday, May 30, incident in which he was arrested due to allegations of domestic assault, according to a press release from the Ramsey County Attorney's Office. The decision to decline felony-level strangulation charges was made late this afternoon after the Ramsey County Attorney's Office was presented with more information from the Woodbury Police Department, Ramsey County Attorney John Choi said. The Woodbury Police Department released the report on the incident that resulted in Washington County Commissioner Bill Pulkrabek's arrest for domestic assault at a Woodbury home Monday, May 30. According to the report, Pulkrabek’s girlfriend told police she was in an argument with him when he threw her onto his bed by her hair. He allegedly held her down on the bed and placed his forearm on her neck, which hindered her ability to breathe, the report says. She pushed and kneed Pulkrabek to get him off of her, she told police, according to the report. He then allegedly pulled her down the stairs and out of the home by her hair, the report says. The man allegedly strangled and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.

An Oakdale man has been charged with domestic assault and making terroristic threats for allegedly strangling his ex-girlfriend and threatening to kill her. Christopher Thomas Brantner, 26, is charged in Washington County District Court in connection with a Feb. 11 incident. According to the court complaint, the woman told police she was at Brantner’s apartment in the 1200 block of Glenbrook Avenue when he began asking her about her new boyfriend. When she refused to talk about it, he allegedly grabbed her hair and pulled it back, causing her to lose balance and hit a wall in the hallway, she told police according to the complaint. An Oakdale man was charged with domestic assault for allegedly strangling and beating a woman in his home after she exchanged text messages with another man. Brandon Scott Larsen, 25, faces charges on three counts of domestic assault in Washington County District Court. According to the court complaint, police were called to Larsen’s home in the 7500 block of 15th Street Lane around 5 a.m. on Feb. 1 after a neighbor reported that someone knocked at their door.
