EyeStyles Optical and Boutique has kicked off a new project that donates eyewear to third-world countries.
EyeStyles Optical and Boutique's latest project is worth taking a look at. At least, Nikki Griffin hopes so. Griffin recently launched a new endeavor at her optical and boutique — and it's already seeing a positive response. EyeStyles is partnering with VOSH International Optometrist volunteers, Digital Eye Lab and Payitforward.org to make custom eyewear for future missions trips to Uganda, Paraguay and other countries. "I had this idea and went to them (VOSH International) and said, 'Hey, what do you think of this hairbrained idea?' and they said it's not half bad," Griffin said. Business is moving forward for Nikki Griffin.
Nikki Griffin's vision for her small business has somewhat changed. After launching EyeStyles Optical & Boutique in July, Griffin has now added an optometrist to her staff as of September. "I had no hope of getting a doctor in here, but I was surprised to find someone so soon who was such a great fit," Griffin said. Joining Griffin is Sara Mabie, an optometrist with more than a decade of experience in the field. Mabie received her degree from the Illinois School of Optometry in 1996 and has worked at Vision World and leased two Target opticals for the past 12 years. EyeStyles Optical and Boutique is bringing in an optometrist four days a week.
An optical shop and boutique has just expanded its services. Starting Sept. 24, EyeStyles Optical and Boutique will be welcoming an optometrist to the business four days a week to provide eye exams. The optical shop is now taking appointments. "It's been getting busier so we thought it was time," said EyeStyles owner Nikki Griffin. The optometrist will be available for appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
