UPDATED: Shots Fired, Child Killed After Oakdale Shooting

A series of shots were fired within the vicinity of Rainbow Foods in Oakdale.

Updated (9:12 a.m., Feb. 12): Oakdale police apprehended the suspect who allegedly shot at two different vehicles Monday evening, injuring two people and killing a 9-year-old boy. Police received the initial 911 call at 6:10 p.m. The suspect shot at two vehicles off of Seventh Street and Hadley Avenue.   "This individual for no apparent reason began shooting," said Capt. Jack Kettler of the Oakdale Police Department.  Nhan Tran, 34, of Oakdale, was apprehended at Fourth Street and Hale Avenue and brought into custody at Washington County Jail, according to jail records.
