It's Freezing, So Take Some Precautions

Here's how to protect your pipes from extremely cold temperatures.

With Oakdale expected to see temperatures remain in the teens or below 0 this week, people might want to take some precautions.  The city released the following information due to the cold weather: The combination of limited snow cover and extremely cold temperatures could cause water pipes and septic systems to freeze. Frozen pipes are at risk of expanding and rupturing. This situation is particularly true for slab-on-grade structures and split entry homes. One way to lessen the chance of frozen pipes is to run faucets at a slow trickle to keeping water flowing through the pipes.  For more information or to ask questions, contact the Oakdale Public Works Department at 651-730-2740.    Like us on Facebook | Follow us on Twitter | Sign up …
