An Oakdale woman sent her child to a friend’s house for the night in February after the father allegedly threatened to crash his car into her home and kill everyone inside by blowing it up. Ricardo Daniel Pena-Sevilla, 23, of St. Paul, faces a felony charge of making terroristic threats stemming from the Feb. 18 incident. The woman lives on Helena Road. Pena-Sevilla has a no-contact order on file and is not supposed to contact the woman for any reason, according to the complaint. He had been calling her regarding custody of their child, she told police, and got upset and made the threats. A 27-year-old Oakdale man is being charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for allegedly threatening to kill two women after allegedly assaulting his sister-in-law at a residence in the 6400 block of 11th Street. Por Xiong was charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and second-degree assault as well as misdemeanor domestic assault after he allegedly choked his sister-in-law and held her two friends at knifepoint on March 3. Daniel Martin Kjonaas, 34, was ordered to submit to chemical dependency testing and to have no contact with his parents for five years
Washington County Judge John C. Hoffman sentenced 34-year-old Daniel Martin Kjonaas to a year in jail and a series of other conditions after Martin was convicted of threatening to kill his father. Judge Hoffman stayed 360 days of the sentence for two years and ordered Kjonaas to submit to chemical dependency testing and attend anger management classes. Hoffman also ordered Kjonaas to have no contact with his parents for a period of five years. According to an amended criminal complaint filed in September 2011, Kjonaas's mother contacted Oakdale police on April 14 after receiving 25 threatening text messages within 54 minutes from her son. An Oakdale man was charged May 2 with assault for allegedly swinging a tire iron at a cab driver who dropped a woman off at his Oakdale home. John L. Newton, 40, faces charges of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and terroristic threats in Washington County District Court. The alleged incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. May 1, according to the court complaint. A St. Paul woman was charged recently with making terroristic threats and stalking for allegedly sending a threatening message to an Oakdale couple through Facebook. Melissa M.Wallraff, 33, allegedly sent a Facebook message to an Oakdale man with whom she has a child threatening him and his wife, according to the Washington County District Court Complaint. The man reported receiving the message to Oakdale police on Sept. 22, 2010. An Oakdale man was charged with allegedly threatening repeatedly to kill a woman he was dating and also threatening to kill her mother. Stephen J. Novak, 44, is charged in Washington County District Court with making terroristic threats, which has a maximum penalty of five years in prison and $10,000 in fines.
