Let's focus on the issue discussed in this article, and not the 2nd Amendment. No violations here, but let's not weight down this comment stream with something that could be discussed on a multitude of other boards. Thanks

ReplyAs a long distance fan, this is fantastic. The neighborhood has been mooching and even making millions off of not only the franchise, but the events (think: Kenny Chesney) as well. Rooftop tickets for 500 bucks? And the Cubs' revenue lags behind similar franchises because of limited capacity, box seats and nearby amenities. This is letting a business ... well, do business.

ReplySome facts about the plant from Rahr's website: "the facility annually produces 370,000 MT (24 million bushels) of malt, making it the largest single site malt producer in the world. The campus consists of five individual malthouses, four Saladin units and one tower. The original malthouse was constructed in 1937 with new houses added in 1954, 1977, 1981 and 1994"

There should be a book on old depots turned into restaurants. There are a slew of them. Most, in fact, are really great. And the atmosphere can't be beat.
