i was wondering if anyone reviews articles before they are uploaded to the roseville patch? the current article concerning the fire dept. event tonight, the 27th, doesn't even mention what time the event will be taking place.
a few days ago the article concerning the radisson hotel said that the hotel was a total of 8,000 square feet, which means that if you forget about the lobby, restaurants, bar, pool area, etc. and just divide the 8,000 by the number of rooms, the average room is a bit over 30 square feet! many closets are bigger than that!

scott, possibly instead of using the word "report", i should have used the word "question". the article you mentioned only reports what has been said by the mayor and district. i don't see where your reporter asked any questions of the district, looking for the background information from the district's attorney explaining the basis for their decision.
the former mayor in his complaint listed very specific policies and laws that he felt were violated. your reporter should be asking the district to demonstrate why these policies and laws were not violated, when it looks to any layperson, that there were violations. the whole reason the school district exists is to hand out information to educate people of all ages. we should have a detailed explanation of this situation, and your reporter should be asking those tough questions.
since i assume you are in favor of complete and open government, you should also be questioning why board study sessions are not shown live on the district cable channel, and why they do not include the full board packet in the online packet available to the public.
the district does a great job overall, so when anything doesn't look right, it needs to be fully aired to the public to show why the district is correct in their decisions.
