Builders, Leaders Break Ground on 'The Waters' Senior Living Community

The new facility, which is set for completion in 2014, will have 92 units of senior housing.

The Waters Senior Living hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in the Tartan Crossing redevelopment site off of 11th Street Street and Hadley Avenue in Oakdale, on the northern portion of the former Oakdale Mall site.

The new facility will include a 92-unit senior housing building on three acres. When completed, the building will offer 64-units of assisted living and 28-units of memory care housing  with underground parking, as well as a variety of wellbeing-focused activities, programs and services.

Acting Mayor Lori Pulkrabek, speaking on behalf of the Oakdale City Council, stated, “We are extremely pleased to kick off this exciting redevelopment accomplishment at Tartan Crossing. When finished, this new building will be a  wonderful additional to our community, and we look forward to celebrating with The Waters Senior Living when this new facility opens in the Fall of 2014.”
