Oakdale Seeks Volunteer Firefighters for Hadley Station

The Oakdale Fire Department is seeking volunteer firefighters for its Hadley Avenue station.

“Volunteer firefighting is very rewarding way to serve your community,” reads a release. “It takes dedication and it takes time, and for those willing and able to commit to being a volunteer firefighter, that reward is immeasurable.”

The department, based out of north and south stations, is a combination paid-per-call and full-time employees.  

The basic requirements for anyone interested in applying are:

• be at least 18 years of age;
• possess a valid driver’s license;
• have reliable transportation; and
• live within six minutes of the north station, located at 5000 Hadley Avenue.
