Sheriff’s Office Continues Search for Missing Senior Citizen

Authorities are asking people to check their property for Radivoje Ray Novakovic.

The search for a missing 75-year-old man continues, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.

Radivoje Ray Novakovic went missing from his home at the 13000 block of Europa Trail in Hugo and not has not been seen since about 9:45 p.m. Sunday. He has been diagnosed as being diabetic, mild bi-polar and has been known to get disoriented.

Novakovic was last seen wearing a maroon shirt, khaki pants and a brown hat. He is approximately 5-foot-6, 160 pounds and has grey/white hair.

“We remind the public that Mr. Novakovic is an avid walker, sometimes reaching distances of up to 4 miles,” reads part of the release from the sheriff’s office. “This along with the fact that when Mr. Novakovic was last seen he was in good physical and mental health, significantly increases the area that he could be located. Our concern for Mr. Novakovic’s health increases as his time missing prolongs.”

The sheriff’s office is asking people to check their property—outbuildings, stored vehicles or watercraft, covered pools etc.—and assist others who may not be able to do so themselves.

At this time, there is no indication of foul play and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office is not requesting volunteers to assist searching.
